Gâteau Breton

Ingredients

  1. 6 egg yolks + 1 extra for brushing
  2. 250g sugar
  3. 360g flour
  4. 250g salted Grand Fermage organic Brittany butter
  5. 1 tsp. baking powder

Preparation

  1. Preheat you oven to 170°C.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until they have turned pale.
  3. Add in the flour, yeast and softened butter. Mix well.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan. Smooth out the surface using a spatula, then brush with the beaten egg yolk. If desired, use a fork to draw some decorative lines on the surface.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes.
