Ingredients
For the cakes

120g unsalted butter Grand Fermage
80g sugar
2 egg yolks
1 unwaxed orange
Pinch of salt
250g flour
½ tsp. baking powder
For the icing
-
150g icing sugar
2 tbsp. of orange juice

Method for the cakes

Zest the orange and set aside.

In a bowl, beat the softened butter and the sugar into a batter.

Add the egg yolks, the grated orange zest and 1 tablespoon of orange juice.
- Mix in the flour, salt and yeast, and knead until you form a dough.
- Roll the dough out to a depth of 2mm. Cut out shapes with a cookie cutter and place them on a greased or lined baking tray.

Cook them in a preheated oven at 220°C for 10 minutes.
For the icing
- Mix together the icing sugar and the orange juice. If it’s too thick, add a splash of warm water.
- Once the cakes have completely cooled, ice them with the sugar and orange juice icing mixture.
