Recipe for homemade ketchup with breaded mozzarella bits

  1. 3 packets of Grand Fermage provencale-style breaded mozzarella bites
  2. 1 kg very ripe tomatoes
  3. 1 onion
  4. 1 clove of garlic
  5. 7cl vinegar
  6. 45g sugar
  7. 1 tsp salt
  8. pinch of pepper
  9. pinch of paprika
  10. clove

And don't forget to grade the recipe:


  1. Wash the tomatoes and cut into wedges.
  2. Transfer to a pot with the onion and garlic (peeled and roughly chopped). Simmer on a high heat for 30 minutes.
  3. Pass through a food mill, and then through a fine sieve or cheesecloth to obtain a smooth coulis.
  4. Pour into a pot and add the vinegar and spices. Cook for a further 45 minutes, until the liquid has reduced by half and takes on a syrupy consistency. Stir gently.
  5. Add in the sugar and set over a low heat for 15 minutes.
  6. Pour into a pot and store in the fridge.
  7. Cook the Grand Fermage breaded mozzarella bites in a frying pan for 5 minutes, and enjoy with the ketchup.
